ABOUT IMUS RANCH
The Imus Ranch was a working cattle and horse ranch originally established by Don Imus and Deirdre Imus in 1999 in Ribera, New Mexico. Spanning approximately 4,000 acres, the ranch was founded with a dual purpose: to provide a genuine Western experience for children facing cancer and other serious illnesses while promoting organic and environmentally friendly ranching practices.

For over 16 years, the Imus Ranch hosted thousands of children, giving them the opportunity to participate in ranching activities, such as caring for animals, riding horses, and learning about sustainable agriculture. The ranch was designed to instill confidence, resilience, and a sense of accomplishment in its young visitors, all while maintaining a strict organic and all-natural lifestyle—including vegetarian meals and chemical-free living spaces.

In 2014, Don and Deirdre Imus decided to sell the New Mexico ranch, marking the end of its operations as a children's retreat. However, the couple continued their dedication to equestrian excellence through Imus Ranch Quarter Horses, now based in Brenham, Texas. This facility focuses on breeding and training top-quality Quarter Horses, continuing the Imus legacy in the equestrian world.
